sup this is thugg
some doodles while im working on pages
on the right you have some fashionable batgirls or something that ill do a full picture of later to commemorate a certain number of followers
on the left is me reworking poison ivy and harley quinns designs since i dndt like my original version. their designs are more rooted into their inspiration now, with poison ivy going for the whole goddess of nature demeter thing and harley quinn actually looking like a harlequin
Examples of amazing artwork by thugg, the main character designer and storyline artist of Batgirl Incorporated, an upcoming collaborative fancomic series intended to serve as an animated TV show pitch (when anthologized) on which I serve as head writer and helm to the project (though I am nothing without my artists).
The idea came into fruition this past June as a personal response to the fact that DC Comic’s record on having an animated TV show with female leads and a predominantly female cast is sorely behind. No one should ever question the possible popularity of a female lead superhero cartoon with all audiences after the longstanding success of The Powerpuff Girls.Their new DC Nation shorts such Super Best Friends Forever, Amethyst, and Thunder & Lightning shorts show promise they are headed in the right direction, but the need is still there.
The project was additionally born out of personal ire towards DC’s continued insistence to fracture the sensitive Batgirl mantle fanbase between three characters in regular canon (including displays of particular favoritism, eschewing one for another or one for two but never all three together) which is in my opinion a poor choice when there are ways to showcase and have all three - at once without slighting any. I feel their trio dynamic is ripe with possible stories and would translate to TV very well. Set in it’s own alternate continuity (like Young Justice) we hope to really provide a fresh and interesting take on the Bat family.
We also will be posting mini-comics and other oneshot pages of the Batgirls and other Batfamily members in either traditional or new alternative takes via guest artist collaboration as an initiative to serve as a collaborative creative outlet.
“Chapter One” or our “Pilot Episode” is fully written, thumbnailed and is currently being drawn by thugg. “Chapter Two” is currently being written.
I have lots of fun collaborative efforts and mini-comics in the wings (and being penned) with amazing people with wonderful talents that I hope everyone will really enjoy so please check us out and stay tuned for updates.

T: “Nothing”
S: ” Looks like something! Are you making me something?”
C:”….”
T: “It’s nothing!”
S: ” Totally something.”
C:”….”
T: ” It’s really nothing.”
S: ” LIES.”
B: “You really shouldn’t lie Tim.”
T: ” I’m not - *sigh*”
C: “If you…squint…he looks like….a sad red panda.”
My drawing skills have gone to hell. Didn’t even try to color.

heey its thugg again aka anklewings. in case you guys dont know, im one of the artists on this project and im just throwing up some doodles i have for these ladies designs.
on the left is barbara gordon of whom i based mostly off of her btas appearance, with body shape from sbff. and on the right are just doodles.
i have a lot more sketches ill upload soon.
Amazing sketches of the three Batgirls from thugg aka anklewings, one of the main artists on Batgirl Incorporated, my upcoming collaborative fancomic project that will be posted here on tumblr. We are still accepting concept art (character sheet here) and openly invite all comic fans to submit art or feel free to contact us with inquiries or if you have any general questions or comments. The goal is to utilize varying art styles and even mediums according to comic with an underlying “main” look or character standard (See Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt for an animated example of such style hopping) threading them loosely together. That way multiple artists can contribute in rotation, not unlike a real comic-book series. The goal is not only to help aspiring comic artists fill their portfolio and practice but the whole project additionally serves as a rough concept pitch for an animated series, something I feel could be very popular for DC and for girls. Please submit or send us message if you want to get involved and follow for more art updates!

What even is anatomy? The legs (lack of legs) are evidence enough I could not do this comic on my own but hey, fanart! Threw some color on it so you could tell who they were. So yeah mangled Batgirls. That is however, yes, a geometric zebra-print and fringe dress on Stephanie. It was $9.98.
